Thank you for the opportunity to work with you and/or your loved one as you begin or continue your recovery journey! I have a passion for working with adults, and adolescents and family as they work to explore a changed mindset and relationship with food.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Oregon State University, and completed my dietetics internship in addition to earning my Master’s degree in Dietetics at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I earned my CertifiedEating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) certificate in 2023. I first gained experience in the treatment of eating disorders during my dietetic internship, and after years working in other areas of dietetics, knew that working in eating disorder treatment was where I wanted to dedicate my career.
Prior to working with UNRESTRICTED NUTRITION, I worked for 7 years as a dietitian at an inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization level of care. I enjoy providing nutrition education to my patients, and individualizing support and recommendations to treat all eating disorder diagnoses. I have spent a vast majority of my ED treatment experience in child and adolescent care, using the Family Based Treatment (FBT) approach, and have an increased focus on working with adults as they pursue ED treatment currently.
ARFID is my particular area of interest, however, I enjoy working with clients and families with all ED diagnoses to help them develop lifelong skills and knowledge to combat ED thoughts and messages.
In my leisure time, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, reading fiction books, learning new arts and crafts, and exploring Colorado!
I am looking forward to working alongside you!
"It was great working with Jill. I felt like she did a good job being flexible and adapting eating plans around my daughter's situation."
-P.K., mother of a 17 year old
"Jill is absolutely amazing!!! She is patient, kind, understanding and has great advice that is actually doable for a neurodivergent like myself. Really can't recommend her enough, she's just tremendous."
-Sydni S, adult living with ARFID
"Jill saved me. As an adult who spent the majority of my life (unknowingly) tackling ARFID alone, I am so lucky to have found Jill when I did. I was reaching a point where I was no longer able to manage my restriction alone and felt the time to get help was now or never. I entered our relationship full of fear, self-judgment, hesitancy, and ready to flee, but Jill's warmth, encouragement, honesty, and support kept me going week after week. Every step she helped me put in place--from the most incremental to the most significant--not only brought me back to myself but helped bring me forward to a self I'd never known. I am now the healthiest I've ever been--my weight is well beyond restored, my relationship with food is secure and full of appreciation and desire, and I can see myself with more grace and understanding each day. I would not be where I am without Jill and will be grateful to her for the rest of my life."

"My daughter and I have seen Jill since she graduated from intensive outpatient therapy in November 2022. At the time, my daughter was terrified to transition to a new dietitian. Jill handled this transition with flexibility and empathy. She has been invaluable in helping my daughter try new foods, begin to eat some of her fear foods, and continue recovering from anorexia. Jill is compassionate while also encouraging my daughter to get outside of her comfort zone and tolerate more foods. She also encouraged my daughter to begin cooking and baking, something I never thought she'd do at the beginning of recovery. She is one of my daughter’s biggest cheerleaders in her continued recovery. We’re so grateful for Jill’s help and expertise!"

Hello! I'm MaryRose Brown, and I am a Registered Dietitian who practices from a Health at Every Size (HAES) and "all foods fit" approach. I believe that ALL bodies deserve respect, care, and nourishment. My mission is to guide individuals in embracing this philosophy while fostering a positive relationship with food and their bodies. I specialize in helping adolescents, teens, and emerging adults with various eating disorders, including ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). My goal is to empower every individual to build confidence around exploring new and familiar foods, transforming mealtimes into positive experiences. Additionally, as a mom myself, I'm dedicated to assisting other mothers in loving and nourishing their postpartum bodies. I understand the unique challenges of motherhood and am here to provide support and guidance during this special time.
My journey began with a culinary nutrition degree from Johnson and Wales University in Denver. I gained valuable experience teaching cooking and nutrition classes to various age groups at different organizations, and I honed my expertise working with eating disorders during various internships and my work at the Eating Recovery Center. I continue to apply a Family-Based Treatment (FBT) approach in my work with children, adolescents, and their families. Outside of my work, I enjoy adventures in and outside of Colorado with my family.
Thank you for choosing me as your partner on this journey!
"MaryRose has helped my daughter make real and significant progress! In the time since we have started, I see great progress in her flexibility and openness with trying new foods and tolerating eating around others. We learned a lot about how much food she should be eating and what types. MaryRose, I want you to know that I think you are fantastic"
-L.S., mother of an 11 year old
"MaryRose Brown was instrumental in helping with our 15 year olds diet. Prior to working with her, he had a very limited diet due to an eating disorder. She has helped to get him to eat well over 40 new food types. I think one of Mary Rose’s unique abilities is her capacity to relate to all ages of people whether it was our youngster, or us parents. She was always very supportive of our son’s desire to gain weight while helping him through the necessity of trying new foods whether this was a volume of intake, food type, or food consistency. She also helped all of us in our journey to finding the proper health and weight gain supplements for our son.
She does this all will a great attitude and is constantly positive and smiling while encouraging people to make necessary dietary changes.
We cannot hand out enough praise for Mary Rose. We will always remember her for being an amazing clinician who helped changed our son’s well being immensely while also helping his parents on his journey to dietary recovery!"
-Lynn C., father of a 9th grader
"We are so grateful for MaryRose's expertise, insight, and hard work on ARFID. We worked with MaryRose for about a year. She was supportive, understanding, and creative in working with a teen boy who has struggled with ARFID for many years. His diet was so limited he suffered from anemia and other nutritional deficiencies and had not hit his growth spurt. As an athlete, he knew he needed to learn to eat better. But as someone struggling with disordered eating, he didn't really know how to do it. MaryRose helped him try a variety of new foods that enabled him to improve his nutrition and gave him confidence to venture into more social spaces (restaurants/friends' houses) where he could confidently try something new and find something to eat that met his needs and preferences. She taught him how to calm his inner fears about food; how to tamp down his anxiety/fear about trying new foods, and overall helped him learn how to manage his ARFID. Amazing!"
-Danielle, mother of a teen boy with ARFID
